Project: Bernal Property Specific Plan, Pleasanton, CA
Description:The Bernal Property represents Pleasanton's vision of its own suburban version of Golden Gate Park. Potential public uses such as a cultural arts center, community center, sports fields, and other less intensive public uses are organized within a much larger open space context and coordinated through a system of linkages including woodlands and meadows, restored and re-created channels, lakes and trails.
Goal:To establish a vision and planning guidance for the long-range creation of an open space /park-like setting within which a variety of public uses can be developed on a 318-acre area of city-owned land.
